    Share
Recently completed my BTEC CPO Course. Now looking for advice on who provides the best value HE course. Training in N.Ireland would suit me best due to work commitments, but if I've got to travel to receive better training then theres no question.
    Any help gratfully appreciated.

Hi Sparkie, congrats on passing your BTEC, as per Morrigan's reply, we've been running HECPO courses since the end of 2004, guys that have passed our course have deployed with the likes of Aegis, Armourgroup, CRG, Dyncorp, Xe (Blackwater), Hart, we have close ties with Aegis, however, that does not mean you would be guaranteed a position.

You can call me personally if you wish to discuss things further, such as our DS are still deploying, the food/accom, the college itself, feel free, after all, a competitive market place is a healthy one, we're not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

    Good luck

If you want my tuppence worth, as a chap with no ties to any training provider, nothing to be gained and no axe to grind, then you can't go far wrong with those above..

    Ring 'em both and chat....

Think you need to re-visit your research then....... Hostile Environment Close Protection is very different from Low level/lower risk CP... open carriage of weapons, different countries, different laws, different ROE's..... the threats and risks considered and the risks taken.. maybe give us a call and we can talk it through.

    Cheers

Our HEAT course is more aimed towards clients and those with no background that happen to be deploying to Hostile regions , as such the likes of support personnel , it is a course designed to let them appreciate the difficulties they will undoubtedly face working in say , Africa , Middle East or even some regions in Europe. Moreover it helps them to appreciate the roles of the PSD teams they may be protected by and what to expect from them.

The HECPO is the real term for PSD , which came about primarily in Iraq as a term within the Industry, Hostile environment close protection operations. It is basically CP within many of the worlds hostile regions, not necessarily armed as in many countries regarded as hostile armed protection is still very much illegal. The course however does cover armed potection , as well as many other relevant topics.

Drop us a line and we would be glad to get back to you with full course details. Again with us you get what you pay for , but our location and overheads put a little more back in your pocket as well as making us happy....

    Cheers

Anyone considering persuing work in hostile regions such as Iraq or Afghanistan should be aware that they need to have military background regardless of the CP course or firearms training undertraken.
