    Default Legion Pay

    Share
    Hiya,

The rugby team i play for has quite a few ex and currently serving army lads.

I am looking to join the armed forces in the next year once i finish my studies at FE College.

One of the lads is ex foreign legion.. a deserter i reckon ( he says he got chucked out for bad french) and another one of the lads dads has been in the FFL for about 10 years.

Thing i want to know is what is pay like in the Foreign legion... ex legion guy reckons that i should join the FFL as he says they were making approx 3000 euros a month.

Now i did a bit of digging on the Foreign Legion website and couldnt seem to find anything that mentioned being paid anything near this amount of cash. But i could be very very wrong.

The reason i am enquiring is that i am actually at the moment half considering it, especially considering the British Army boys are reccomending the FFL over the British Army.

So can someone clear up the pay rumour?

    Cheers.

    hey.mate...
the basik pay in FFL is a bit over than the minimal salary in france..which is about 1200 eu p/m...exept the parashute regiment where you can earn about 1800 p/m...

Otherwise your salary can icrease until 3000 euros in diferent mision, but dont forgeth that misions are temporery and after end of this delay you will get back in france and to the basis salary range...
About prefereing FFL to the British army, you should think about all asoects...
In your country you can folow a good careere and if you want to join special forces,,,
In FFL you can see the diferent kind of army, friends and adventures but the foreigner are not alowed to the french special forces...
    hope i could help mate...
    cheers

Just an observation but if pay and financial reward is a high consideration for joining any military then I suggest soldiering isn't for you.

Best you dont take up observation then fella.... the post says half considering.... and half a consideration in my book is not a " high consideration"

But cheers for your observation there, really helped a guy out.

Hi there in legion from beginning you should expect aprox. 1000 Euro 2000-3000 you can have when you go away on mission but 1000 is your realistic
pay. if you want go to ffl for money just don't go
