$1500 per month = £925 per month at todays rate.
Or £33 per day.
Are they taking the micky, $1500 a month, 3 months on and could be up to 6 months. As to the amount of guys onboard you are going to fall over each other. I know it is unarmed and that has never been a problem to me on transits but the money side just stinks.
I KNOW WORK IS TIGHT AT MINUTE BUT WHO ON EARTH WILL ACCEPT A POSITION THAT ONLY PAYS $1500 PER MONTH?,OR IS IT A CASE OF THEM KNOWING WORK IS TIGHT AND THEY ARE PAYING LOW TO MAXIMISE PROFITS?.
ANOTHER THING,IS IT JUST ME OR DID ALARM BELLS RING WHEN PEOPLE READ CONTACTS NAME?,MR ARSENIC?.
HAVE JUST BEEN ON THE WEBSITE AND IF I WAS BEING UNGRACIOUS TO MR ARSENIC,I APOLIGISE.THE PAY FOR THE TEAM MEMBER OF $1500 P/MTH AND THE TEAM LEADER OF $1750 P/MTH IS GROSS!!,IT DOESNT SAY WHAT OFF-TAKES THEY DO TO MAKE IT NET.
IT`S 1 OF THOSE `IT`S UP TO YOU IF YOU WANT TO APPLY FOR THE JOB`.
IF ANYBODY HAS APPLIED AND I`AM TALKING KAKA,PLEASE LET ME KNOW IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO FIND OUT.
Well for people coming from a banana republic or the former warshaw pact country's i guess its pretty good payed...
For me i'd be making more money at the supermarket counter with allomost no risks of being hung by some pirate or having to jump ship to prevent that.... if you ask me... (never ask me )
The website does look nice but why going back to the crossbow vs rpg era???
If you miss you'll be sore cause the pirates wont feel very emphatic to you (on the other end they might anyway, mainly because you're even worse armed then thay are, rusty ak's and all....) they might offer you a job as pirate...

I know some people here don´t mind doing it unarmed, but I had a bad day last year with 3 attempted boardings/hijaks. So that changed my mind on unarmed antipiracy stuff. Imagine the embarrassment of being captured and being unarmed. You could never face your mates again if you even survived, they´d all be laughing so hard. Then tell them you were on $1,500 per month.
What an insult!!!
yes its funny when they are searching for high trained experienced individuals with that salary, even the Ugandian ex army and Nepaleses in Iraq/Afghanistan earns more..and again if living in africa hunitng with a spear for living this might be a very good pay, otherwise it will be 500usd less a month then what a normal security guard earns here back home..
With pay scales like that I would love to know the nationals working on that gig, if westerners I think it will be either criminals or real muppets.
Atleast we all have to start somewhere but it is no good for the business when offered money like this, the minimum should atleast be some 4000-5000 usd a month
for guys really thinking of joining companies like this, think hard..
if the money is this bad what about food? living conditions and the fellow operators?
How professional will they actually be right?
And if armed what equipment and safety procedures are in order?
Having looked again at original post and website, i think job is aimed at operators from the former Warsaw Pact countries and its associates,as i think $1500 p/mth is probably a decent level of wage, how else would they require levels of 2 and 3 for conversational english?.
Iwould guess that a westerner would be in a minority of 1 should they apply and get a deployment.
