I'm from Romania and in want a C.P.O. Course in England and get a S.I.A. License.
If i want to find work in this line i understand that is necessary to have a good start. So, i want to choose carefully before i put my money on.. And lots of it, damn..
- Ronin Concepts;
- G4S Phoenix;
I have experience in RO Army, RO Municipal Police and Ro Private Security (various positions, including management).
I need some feedback, please..
Thank you and cheers!
That’s kinda like asking “I wanna buy a car should I get a Toyota, VW or Vauxhall??!!” Every person is going to have a different opinion based on what they drive, as with a car you need to do some research ( use the SEARCH in the top right hand corner of this page), contact the training providers, read through the threads on this and perhaps other sites and decide what is best for you and what you want to get out of the course (besides -work please).
I do understand what you’re asking but if I said go with “ Basil’s School of Epic Bodyguarding Guys” they are the BEST you wouldn’t spend 1000’s on a course some stranger told you is the “BEST”. It is a question asked at least once a week on the site so there is loads of reading and information already available- seek an ye shall find!
PS -Don’t go with Basil’s
Everything is depence in wich sector of the CP business you want to get involved.
If you give us more info what is your goal you may have the right advice.
Take care and all the best .
Unfortunately, i have the heart and the necessary training for H.E. but i don't have the necessary experience (7 years and 2 tours)... So in think i must seek my way in executive protection-although i want to work in any environment, even H.E. In my opinion "Ronin Concepts" and "G4S Phoenix" are both a great start in this line.. I understand that Ronin Concepts-Hostile Environment Close Protection Course can provide me a S.I.A.-C.P.O. License and badge, also.. So, i am thinking at one of these two :
1.Ronin Concepts: "Hostile Environment Close Protection Course" or "Executive Close Protection Course";
2. G4S Phoenix Close Protection;
I just want to gain the necessary training and experience for S.I.A. License and to work in this line, doesn't matter where or what.. I think i am prepared for almost.
If you want specific info, only PM mate.. Thank you!
I'll be very honest and people will probably disagree with me But, I dont think it matters what course you do. I have seen your profile and you already work in the CP sector in your country at a high level. Also you are ex police and military, im not sure paying for the latest and greatest course will be of benefit to you. Go for the cheapest on this occasion. If i was looking at your CV as an employer, I would want to see evidence of your experience, I wouldnt care who you trained with, so long as you have a licence.
Thats just my opinion
All the best
but like savkov has said it all depends on what section of the industry you want to work in at a later date
all the best ed
While I agree with 12345 to a point, Military and even Police CP is different to Corporate, so if that's where you want to work, I'd pick a decent training provider.
From your original list, I'd go with Excellentia as they are London based and use popular areas for training ops for familiarisation as much as anything else; as you are not from the UK, being trained by a well respected company, in the area you will be working can only help with your employment prospects.
Aside the principle of the matter there are many good reasons for going to a decent training provider such as quality of information and relation of their experience working in the UK (which I frankly doubt most if not all the cheap providers instructors can claim suitable levels of) - quality and depth of understanding on important UK relevant areas such as law. Working outside of a government job, solo, without weapons.
There is NEVER an excuse to get the cheapest you can.
If all courses are crap in the UK as a result of the SIA and all you need is a license then why not do the cheapest to get your tick and then attend a better course elsewhere where you will more than likely learn the job properly?
Because there is a massive disparity in quality of content, resources and delivery in the courses that exist. What sort of bullshit do you think you are going to get for £600 compared to £1200 compared to £1800? Ill tell you: rubbish material stolen from out of date publications delivered by blaggers.
Do you think people who know their stuff will teach for £125 a day? Less? You can get £175 a day teaching DS and SG courses.
If people can do the job for cheap they will, and when they learn nothing and show out to be numpties trained by bigger numpties they will have wasted their money.
