Radio on training on SIA course

I vaguely remember it mentioned on old BIIAB content for the DS course but couldn't say 100% for definite though. Personally I deliver the same to my guys on DS and SG courses, nothing worse listening to the "pub watch" radio and to some of the poor V.P., names being used over open radio etc...

    Unlicensed Doormen; What to do?

Pyrene, again it's not sorting the problem, the message should be simple not to get involved with venues who entertain using unlicensed staff on doors, or wannabe bar staff who fancy themselves as door staff, no wonder the shit hits the fan if gangs of guys in civvies going around thinking they...

    Unlicensed Doormen; What to do?

Don't mean to be funny here Pyrene, the majority of posts you place on this site is very useful particularly for the new to the industry, but what kind of advice are you giving here, first the fact that doorman look after each another....what you find is this tends to be a rarity in present...

Second that one RocketDodger, and I'm setting the ball rolling in round about 28 days time, when I don't have confirmation my rental deposit isn't in a government backed safe deposit scheme as required by landlords now, then sit back and watch the sh*t storm unfold when the local authority...

    Bogus SAS Walt in Scotland

The problem is SCT that this guys first crime was committed in 03 according to the info in the paper, giving him a 10 year gap, I'm not up to speed on how far back US checks go but know a basic disclosure here only goes back 5 years so maybe U.S. checks might not flag anything up, his more...

    Lanyard vs Armband (and colours)

Yeah it's normally the DS that haven't been choked out yet ;-), agree its down to personal preference but common sense should tell you that if your working in a busy pub/club with the potential for large kick offs, you'd rather not have something wrapped round your neck, probably the same reason...

Handcuff training and its use in Scotland

Hi Scott, Yeah thanks for the info it has definitely been of use, Quoting from information my friend had given me they had heard of some venues that have had a (1) set of restraints for use if the need arises, but in my personal experience on the doors anything large scale that's kicked off its...
