I realise your English language is good, adequate ans easily understoood IMHO but you possibly feel reluctant to contribute your views or opinions and we are not all the best of English speakers here, me too, I am Scottish and my 'accent' is difficult for Brits to follow (lol). I'm a Brit too! [

Join in, contribute, network, agree, disagree with other viewpoints or opinions as the odd misuse or lack of grammar is overlooked and very few of the member will 'take the piss' or criticise it, so open up mate, give us the use of your knowledge and skills, network and work may come your way, not just static sg work maybe, who knows, I am not in Canada but we do have Canadian members who would be happy to talk or network with you.
