Hi,
'Can't offer advice on HE as I don't do that. Mine is all UK, but get a decent CV and post on as many web-sites as possible.
The Forums here are good for making contacts. Take on board the experience and the advise on offer.
Try the advertisers. Often they are looking for people as well as advertising themselves and their services.
'Tricky getting anyone to give names/numbers. The circuit is saturated and everyone is very protective of their work. Keep messaging. Make your profile interesting & relevant. It will get looked at will bring taps from interested parties. Get involved in threads. Get yourself known. Try Linkedin, a network for professionals. 'Not a chat room. A serious work finding tool. Most of the blokes I know and work with use it. It's how we find work and get recommended. Treat it seriously. It's a professional tool and could get you good work. Free but costs if you want to go 'deeper'. A lot of HE people on there.
All the best. Per Ardua.
Good luck.
