    Job prospects for new medic

The short answer is - no training course is in itself a guarantee of a full time, paid job. You will be at the mercy of employers who will look at your skills/experience. Merit is an excellent training provider btw.

Diploma of Paramedical Science - recognition of prior learning process at discount

This pathway also exists through Merit training. They have have a number of medical academia options for those that want it. (I'm biased because I went through a Merit course a couple of years ago..)

    FREC Medical Qualification Level 3/4

The level 3 syllabus is pretty ho-hum. The level 4 is better - both are improvements over Fpos. But without clinical hours they are just bits of paper. Uni's will certainly recognise them - but as they like to say, they assess everybody on a case by case basis. A

    Cambrian Patrol, is it tough?

In a nutshell it is a long uncomfortable tab over the lovely Welsh countryside carrying out a number of tasks at set stands. I have completed it a couple of times and it is not a pleasurable experience. Did the IDF get a medal?

Which paramedic course gives the highest level of training and qualifications.

I can't comment on the AREMT - I have no knowledge or experience of their testing/certification requirements but if you want to know about the NREMT, go to their website NREMT - NREMT News. If we go back to the original question "which course" then I suppose getting accredited by...

Which paramedic course gives the highest level of training and qualifications.

I'm on the NREMT-P course with Merit. It is tough, very tough - in the past I did FAAW/FPOS/Brit Mil + Aegis team medic/Ronin CP and I thought I knew trauma until I started paramedic training with Merit. Taking 2 years out to study at uni wasn't a viable option when you have a family and a...

Just read an article on the terrible incident in Antrim with the two engineers. It states that the armed civilian guards stood by and failed to react to the gunmen. Now I wasnt there, but I have been in this situation and to hear this shocks, but does not surprise me. I have experiance of...

    Language skills

Languages are a strange one. I think (another opinion) they're mildly useful. I speak arabic, which i thought would stand in good stead for a job in iraq - but we dont do much chatting to the locals! Again - maybe the client speaks the lingo you're learning, but then again they might not want...
