He is a door supervisor / security guard who has a done an FPOS and pead course. And good on him. More people should stretch themselves rather than getting away with the minimum one-day First Aid course or, worse still no course!
Where does it say he wants to "make it in the Medic field"...

Thanks for the post. It is always good to hear feedback on courses. I notice this is your first post; thanks for stepping up and welcome to the forum.
As BearUK pointed out you have indeed spelt practicals with an apostrophe. I would rather read a well meaning and thoughtful post...
A number of supraglotic airways can be used as conduits for tracheal intubation with the aid of fibreoptic observation, but not blind.

The SALT allows for a high success rate in blind intubation (as long as it is within your skill set blah blah blah...)

I saw this piece of kit on the PPA's EMT-B course last week.
Imagine a single piece, single size, plastic tube with no moving parts that is a basic airway for BLS (compatible with BVM) and for ALS allows for blind intubation with a ridiculously high ( soemthing like 98.9%) success rate even in...
Q:How do you know there is a Doctor in the room?
A: Don't worry, he'll tell you.

I currently enrolled on the accelerated EMT-B course. If I had the time available I would choose to do the full-stretch course. All I can say this far in and handing over a fair wad of cash to people I have never met, I have had good communication with Peter and Nick and the course manual...

Cheers.
Thanks for that M4MED - I hadn't at all considered the AMLS; I assumed it would be rather limited to Nurses / Doctors and set in the hospital environment ( like ACLS / ATLS ); The course book looks a good text and has guidance for all roles from 'First Responder' up.
The first course I pinged...
Covert: Thanks for that, already looked - there are a few big players here on this forum and a few smaller specialist businesses and I'm all for sharing work among the community but most of the companies with a presence on here are more geared towards trauma.
Phecta: Thanks for the offer - we...
