Surely then ALL individuals should work for a recruiting agency then and really there is no need for the HR department within theses companies!!!
Already in this industry "security" lads have to jump through hoops upon hoops which to a level i don't disagree with, "if you want the job" etc etc...
Good morning guys,
Why on earth would you want to add another party into the mix of securing work?!?! Is it not hard enough already!!. This job is for the HR department and with each company you trust them to a degree to do the right things with your docs.
So why would I want to engage in...
It's always good to do your checks on previous threads but they have been known to be months if not years out of date and as we have seen things are changing with companies very fast!!!. By all means do your research but this type of forum was designed exactly for how you've used it....to ask...
Hello mate,
Sorry my last comment wasn't meant as a dig but i was interested to see if you had gone on the water to do and test firing!, and i fully agree with what you have said, i understand the insurance purposes both from the client and MSC point of view and i only wish it was more poignant...
Sorry Mark22150, i wasn't sure?, have only heard excellent things about your course but didn't realise it incorporated live shoots on the oggin from boats etc!!!, i did ask lads to correct me as i haven't done your course.

Drum is a very good company with huge knowledge within the maritime industry and other sectors within security. They have had a few rocky incidents over the last year or so with below par individuals showing there true colours on transits and project work, these colours nearly lost DC project...
Falklan - mate the lads asking for info thats all, he's not asking to bone your wife (or boy friend)!!!, possibly his company does supply map's but maybe just maybe they might not be up to scratch and he wants something more.....im sure if not positive you have been in this situation. This site...

I think the main thing to remember is that we are working in a different environment i.e. maritime and with this industry comes a set of standards that if you wish to make this your line of work then i feel yes you do need to have for example;
ENG1 - All seafarers require this so standard and...
If i have read this correctly all the security company/agent has done is take the weapons / ammo / equipment from one vessel and put them directly onto a second vessel which i can only presume that is leaving the coastal waters of Sri-Lanka and commencing a transit North......seeing as there is...
Cant say i agree mate but this could be due to alot of factors!!!. While doing CP / Maritime over the past 13yrs i have NEVER been out of work unless i have had it planned but this i feel is 100% me and my actions for getting off my ass and being pro active, i class myself as a professional as...
Gareth - Mate i worked for AR and in honesty apart from there ups and downs of there pay scale i couldn't really complain, they always supplied me with work when i wanted it, allowed me my time off, good lads (ish), good weapons and equipment and for most of my 2yrs doing adhoc with them there...
Not saying that your having ago at us brit's bud, but like Argyll and now myself have said and im sure many others YOU are self-employed and there for have the power to do a great deal, lads don't because they don't want to rock the boat, think they wont get work again , think they wont get paid...
Now theres a surprise! thankfully im away from the maritime transits for a while or so i hope but i suppose i can never say never!
The over crowding issue has ALWAYS been an issue as we know but then thats not really down to the PMC as all they do is out source to a "shipping company" or...
Slammer - can you please tell me who you are, what qualifications you have, what was your back ground i.e. which military unit/group you served with???
Sorry i ask this because 1) I've looked at your profile and nothing, 2) i have seen a few of your other comments refs "foreign nationals" which...

But this site is for sharing peoples knowledge and...
