Hi Guy and Girls

I was just looking on some advice on how you go from CPO to teaching Close Protection and who runs these courses????Can any1 shed some light please thanks
 
Hello Homer,

The simple answer to your question is that you must attend and pass various training courses.

If you want to deliver Close Protection for a company that is accredited by the SIA then you will require the following courses:

City and Guilds 7303 - Teaching qualification

In addition to this the following courses and experience are also desirable:

  • City and Guilds 1886 - Conflict management trainer
  • FAAW instructor
  • Some kind of Range qualification
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of the Close Protection industry
