Airline info sharing.

Seeing the increasing amount of delays and aborted flights due to unruly passengers. Be they drunk individuals or emboldened stag/hen parties. Do the airlines share info regarding troublesome passengers.
Do they not profile parties/groups and issue warnings in advance.
I'm fascinated by what responsibility is taken by the airlines before embarking passengers. Surely a duty of care akin to a landlords duty (rarely adhered till licensing review)
Is this the case or am I being naive.

The airports make a lot of money from people waiting in the departure lounge going to bars because there is little else to do. I think this is a big factor, along with the selling of alcohol on flights. There should be some laws to prevent people who have drank too much getting on a flight. Like you said, pubs are supposed to do it, the need on an aircraft is much greater.

OJ, you'll find that it's not actually the airline per se. Almost every airline sub-contracts out their ground handling. For example, a BA plane has Serivceair to handle everything from checkin agents to pushing back their aircraft at Gatwick, but in Jersey it could be Airline Services. It would be an admin nightmare to try and send different handling companies names and info of said passengers / parties because of different company policies and procedures.

Having said that, I have seen what you suggested actually been applied between 2 airports, but only because they both had the same ground handling company.

I've not seen you around for a while. Some years back I seem to remember pointing out that your name would soon be out of date for the UK. Hasn't that time come? :)

OJ,

Getting info shared between airlines sounds such an easy and brilliant idea
Like you I've travelled around the world on various airlines and sometimes they don't share info with their own crew.
