Alternative to ISA for non uk residents?

As the title suggests, I was just wondering if anyone knows of any good alternatives to ISAs for saving money in the UK when I'm a non resident?

And before anyone says it, I'm looking at purchasing a house shortly.

As an expat recently returned from the UAE, there are a number of tax free options. Depending on you timelines there are good 1-5 year savings products. David Clark from Caledonian International sorted mine (after a few bad experiences elsewhere).
