Hello All

Is anyone else in here RMP ( or Ex RMP )

I spent 7 years in the RMP and got out in 2004.

Based in Hohne 111 Pro Coy, Edinburgh Castle 170 Pro Coy, JHQ 101 Pro Coy and finished a Catterick.

Done CP in Afghanistan, and GPD in Bosnia and Kosovo with a few exercises in the Oman and Poland.

I got out and joined civvy bill near Newcastle..

Well my condensed life, and anyone thinking of civvy bill as a career, umm its not better than RMP, but at least you know when you drive home they can't call you back in.

Served 1990 - 2000, had a ball - left at the right time judging by what old mates still serving are saying, went into UN Security and realised how good RMP actually was. No regrets joining and no regrets leaving.

I served 97-2007. Usual haunts. CP mainly in Iraq and at CPU. Now working in civ sector as consultant. Right to leave too. Wanted a new challenge... def getting it now.

RMP gave me the grounding and multi skills to enable me to work in any proffesional environment. I think many who leave set thier sites too low... we have many transferable skills that just need to be evidenced correctly in your CV.

Think we were in the same sqaud Mal !

helloo

If your surname begins with a T then I'm sure I remember speaking at the Army/Navy game earlier this year!

Baggage Handlers

I was reading an article this morning and would you beleive it that the baggage Handlers at Glasgow Airport were said to be furious.

They had ordered an indian and when it finally turned up it was burnt!

Hello all,

Well after 6 and a half years in RMP, i have finally took that step and decided enough is enough. Anyone looking for Surveillance work, there are some very good jobs out there, infact good enough to stop me joining Civi Bill!!!!!

My history is 2002-2004 at 110, loved every second of it, its hell now apparently!! and a lovely 4 years cov ops.

Hello there mate! Try the corp journal, i think theres a company constantly recruiting known as CRS/CRB or something! You'll find it if you look through the journal!

CM

CM, thanks for the info, i saw the advert in the journal a few months ago, they have offices based all over the country which is also handy to know.

Somebody is selling the corp journal on EBay......tight bastards..........who would possibly do that?

I've been told that there is loads of EX CP lads like yerself who have got out and moved up through the ranks of Security companies which has lead to prosperous times for young red asses lke ourselves?

Thanks for the reply....so quick as well lol............I would think I am on the longmoor walls, was given the BEM by old madge for services to CP in 1982, also had a great time hwen i did my CP instructors course at Longmoor, with the likes of Ken Blake, hughie grant was one of the DS if my memory serves me right, I took over rom him in JHQ at 6 Pl.....Working for Tesco as A securtity manager, nearly 60 gezz, that sounds old...one of my ex Cpls working in the stan Kenny Rogers, must be the oldest guy in the job at present. LOL

Hi guys,
I left RMP last year after 22 years. Served in too many places to mention, including 7 cp tours. Year before last I was offered an 's' type contract but turned it down. I often wonder if I did the right thing!
I am waiting for dates for medical and fitness assesment for SYP force, however, I am not so sure I want to do that now.
Am thinking of going on the circuit, proably got itchy feet syndrome again lol.
