This info came from one of my Greek buddies. The owner of Aspida Maritime Security, had established in 2015 a non-profit organization ERCI, with scope of rescuing refuges in the Aegean Sea coming from Turkey. But instead of resquing them was discovered by the Greek authorities that he turned to be the head of an illegal trafficking network charging each refuge $2,000 to get him to Greece.
It is estimated that he has made more than $500 mill since 2015. He is now wanted from the authorities with an international arrest formation.
