ASSET PROTECTION OFFICER — REF: ADV/474/2009/1
The Asset Protection Officer is responsible for close protection of cash couriers. The role includes site reconnaissance, courier escorting, site security and observation, and intervention in negative events. Specific tasks : To conduct site reconnaissance on service sites prior to courier arrival / deployment, To escort couriers to and from premises, To act as a deterrent to would be assailants, To provide observation and deterrence at site entrances or on location during the service, To protect the courier from harm in the event of an incident, deliberate attack, accidents or unwanted attention, To provide written reports on events and suspicious incidents, To liaise with Police and Industry bodies, Give evidence in court and company disciplinary hearings as required, Any other duties as deemed appropriate by your Manager
Requirements
Skills / Attributes Required : Demonstrate a level of competence in close protection, Be Physically fit with good vision and hearing. Excellent observation skills to spot potentially dangerous situations. Ability to react quickly using their own initiative. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to operate independently, unsupervised for much of the time. Reliability, integrity and honesty. Driving Licence.
Desirable Skills/Experience : Previous relevant Police or military background may be beneficial as would an SIA Close Protection Licence. This role will be on a rolling shift pattern of days/nights and will include working two weekends out of four.
