Bates Falcon - Any good?

I have been looking at these as they have come down in price, £74 in size 9. Are they any good? Main use will be Tarmac so how do the soles stand up? Cheers.

But 74 quid is expensive, I got some for about 60 a couple of years ago, and I still have them now, the sole is fine, used them countless times on boot runs with Tarmac.

The inside is leather though, so can be a pain to get on and off, especially if your socks are wet.
On the other side the toe cap is rubberized so stoops scuffing.
They easily compare with lowas are the aku boots.

Good long lasting cheap boot.
Stay away from the ones with the zip on the side.
 
Check prices in the U.S. Credit card rate on the dollar at the moment is around £1 = $1.70, even with shipping it can be much cheaper. Just remember the size difference. ie. UK 7 is a US 8
