Ladies and gents,

I have recently started the process to establish a clinic within a charity school in Antigua, Guatemala for underprivaleged children, striken by poverty, malnutrition and a whole host of water borne diseases and parasites.

I took the Hostile Environment Medical and Trauma (HEMT) course students to assist me with the first evaluation, during which time we were able to assess some 30 of the 400 children at the school.

Not only is the clinic lacking appropriate diagnostic equipment but also appropriate medical supplies and medication.

It is my intention to establish a foundation in order to receive financial donations in the near future, along with opening up volunteer placements for medics, nurses and doctors to come and assist, provide effective primary care and experience this fanstastic country and culture.

In the meantime, I am establishing a network of local assistance and trying to source medial diagnostic equipment and supplies, medicines etc.

Should anyone wish to contribute or donate old equipment, any and all items would be greatly received and I will provide regular updates with photographs of it in use and the difference it is making to the childrens health.

This is very early days, so please excuse the brevity.

Best regards and thank you in advance for your interest.
