a while back i attended a dog handling course with the promise of a job if i complete it,there was about 10 of us on the course,
after completing the course in what i paid a lot of money for,i receved a letter in the post confirming i have passed and that i am on there database and they will send me a rota.I was delighted and quit my job at the time.
however the rota never came and there phone number was not in use and website shut down and i have since found out that James kaye is a clever conman,and other people have suffered like me,
If anyone has any information on him or know of any respectable dog handling courses i could go on.it would be kindly appreciated.
 
well sadly you have been done, but you should never ever ever train with anyone who tells you doing their course gets you a job because they are liars, nobody can ever deliver on that, and they don't ,you just get conned. Sorry but that's the truth of the matter. Bad for you and others i know, but something 95% of people know is to never do a course based on promise of a job. It has been said in here thousands of times before.

I am really sorry to hear that this has happened to you and of course hindsight is a wonderful thing. I think it is highly unlikely you will ever see your money again but you have probably learned a very expensive lesson and shan't make the same mistake again.There are several very reputable k9 handler training providers here, if you do a search in search area at the top you should find them.

Well at least you finished a course! Did they give you any certificates etc? if you have the correct qualls you can at least look for jobs?
 
Sadly all to familiar. The moral of the story: get it in writing or walk away!!!


Like dodger says if you have the certificates then hopefully you can apply for work.

Sadly any certificate that you might have received from James Kaye will not be worth a carrot, it makes me so angry when I hear of this sort of thing, and it discredits the industry and its trainers. Nice one JD,unfortunately James Kaye is exactly that,a con man and liquidated his business with 30 guys wages just to set up again,in another name.

That is an excellent offer. You are an exceptional individual. More good than bad out there. You are a credit to yourself and every good operator in the security sector. When one door closes another one opens. What you have done is proof positive of that. With the stroke of a 'pen' you have given this guy renewed hope and restored confidence in the industry. I have to say that, although John and I do not see eye to eye, this is a very generous gesture. Got to give you 10 out of 10 for that one
