At the top banner you can see the chat button, this will take you straight to the channel.

On a mobile the chat is accessed from the hamburger menu on the top left.
Once selected you will find the chat button like the image below.
You will need the Telegram app which is available on mobiles and desktop computers.
If you don't have it currently installed the page that opens has a download link.
You will need to create an account to use Telegram.
Once you have created an account or currently have one already, you can chose what information you share with others.
Open your profile and select settings
From settings select Privacy and Security
This opens the security settings and you can select what others can see in your profile.
You can hide things like your mobile number and profile photo which might be important to you.
