Package Description: This is a part time position based on 3 days per week for 8 hours per day. The salary will be from £20k to £25k pro-rata based on the successful candidates experience. Initially a fixed term role for 6 months with the potential of going permanent






Job Introduction:

Reporting to the site Contract Manager, the Crime Prevention Officer (CPO) shall be responsible for the management and implementation of Crime Prevention and Reduction (CPR) services.

The role shall focus on prevention and reduction of all aspects of crime within the site ensuring that risk management solutions are both proportionate and in line with business objectives

The CPO will apply CPR strategies to assist management in mitigating the risk of theft and protest related crime issues. Where crime is identified the CPO shall gather initial evidence and report utilising the online company crime system to allow further investigation involving site management and the Business Resilience Office.

The CPO shall be involved in new initiatives including further development of site security awareness and effectiveness across all site teams to ensure that CPR measures are built into all aspects and embedded within the culture.

The role will involve close liaison and collaboration with the site Generation business, G4S services and the Business Resilience Office.

Role Responsibility:
• Plan and implement a programme of CPR initiatives using expertise to build on existing companywide initiatives and investigative capabilities
• Through a programme of analysis and reporting, identify risk vulnerabilities and risk mitigation strategies and methods of measuring effectiveness
• Manage CPR initiatives involving third parties where necessary
• Provide in-depth management information and audit trail that assist investigations
• Liaison with Nottinghamshire Police for CPR purposes
• Use of databases, interviewing, partnering with internal and external stakeholders, and handling of evidence and media analysis
• Ensuring CPR is conducted with integrity and in an effective manner protecting the rights of E.ON staff and contractors and the reputation of the organisation
• Provide CPR services including professional advice and guidance to Ratcliffe Management
• Implement first level crime identification and evidence gathering skills to enable an investigation to be undertaken by E.ON’s management and Business Resilience Office, Crime Management Team
• Identify and develop the use of intelligence led solutions and effective analysis to reduce crime risk and instigate loss prevention measures to improve asset protection


The Ideal Candidate:
• Possess excellent oral and interpersonal skills, being able to communicate effectively with people at all levels
• Be able to provide clear written reports and reasoned argument in order to influence people at all levels
• Be able to deliver effective oral and multimedia presentations to management and site teams
• Understand and be sensitive to the effects of organisational and cultural change
• Certified Professional Investigator (CPI), National Vocational Qualification Investigations Level 4 (NVQ4)
• Interview training with police or similar body and relevant professional security certifications
• Crime Prevention and Reduction qualifications and/or experience
• Extensive knowledge of investigatory principles and techniques
• Knowledge of related audit or internal control methodology
• Knowledge of Police and Criminal Evidence Act, Public Interest Disclosure Act, Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act, Data Protection Act, and relevant national laws and regulations
• Advanced computer and administrative skills with the ability to learn and operate technical security systems (CCTV, access control etc)
• Knowledge of protective security equipment and techniques to facility successful target hardening and risk mitigation
