Hi guys

Just got an interview with a marsec company called cesec group.

So I sent them all my Certs the only thing I can think of is a driving whilst uninsured on my crb holding me back.

Can anyone tell me will they shit can me with that on my crb. It is spent in December and I have been ring Scottish discourse trying to get it off as they changed the legislation on 10th march.

My licence was endorsed with 6 points which are now removed but they said I will have to wait until December as my licence was endorsed.

I know Companies that interview guys for HE work are mainly looking for a history of assault or weapons charges.
I personally wouldnt think the driving side would trouble you that much but if your that worried then give the company a call and explain the situation.

It depends on the company but I'd say yes it will make a difference.
There are so many people applying for so few jobs they need some 'criteria' to help narrow down the applicants.
If you have something unique to offer then they may overlook your offense as they want your skillset/experience, but if they have 30 guys with similar background and experience, they'll bin anyone with a criminal record no matter what the offense - it's an easily justified way to get numbers down, unlike binning people based on factors that may be argued as 'discriminatory' (but which we all know takes place)

If it was me recruiting, driving without insurance is a criminal matter, you knew this and chose to break the law hoping you wouldn't get caught, that tells me something about you and I wouldn't want you on my team as a result, sorry.

Fair point thanks guys but to be fair I got injured in afgan in 2007 and caught in 2009 wen I was being medically discharged so it wasn't really a case of knowing I was breaking the law rather my head was not really in a sound place but thanks

On that last comment you made, you had insured your car before Afghanistan and knew that it was a requirement yet " forgot" to reinsure it. Like it has already been stated not a really good excuse. Also your spelling and grammar needs some looking at.

It was 2 years after and my renewal was sent to the wrong address plus further to your reply I am not swooping down to your level but thank you for your comments appreciated :-)

Adeno,

Paddy wasn't being facetious, but making a valid point. The basics of running a car and your day to day personal admin IS something an employer will be looking at.

Yes, you may have a valid excuse, but when competing against guys that don't make elementary mistakes, as an employer, what decision would YOU make ?

Fair point I wasn't being abrupt but my situation back then was more than a bit messy and it has taken me a long time to get my act together again but somthing that happened 5 years ago that is not am issue with me anymore surly can't not determine how well I operate on ground and I am very confident in my abilities as a pose to some guys on the circuit who can't even bend down and touch there toes because there personal admin is in shit state
