Hi All,

I have finally decided to take the plunge and have booked my CPO course commencing 14 March 2010. I have compelted all the ELCAS applications well within the dates quoted and it's all systems go except for the fact that I have not yet received anything back from those that administer the system. Can anyone tell me if it is normal for it to arrive at the last minute or does anyone have a POC that I can call?

I am aware that DETS(A) have completed their part and forwarded it on so any advice that anyone could give would be very much appreciated. I would not be happy if I had to delay yet again as getting time off from my current job would be nigh on impossible.

Regards

Yes mate, When I booked my course I paid the deposit which secured the place, All paperwork was completed and even though it was in late, Elcas still came through and secured the funds. Keep in comms with the course provider and Elcas.

Mick,

Many thanks for that. I shall continue to hold my breath and squeeze my sphincter until the paperwork arrives :)

Without wanting to start a new thread, as it doesnt need a whole new thread. For those of us who have left the Military recently but would like to use the learning credits, is this applied for away from the military with ELCAS directly?

SuperStacker,

I can confirm this was the case. The forms are on the ELCAS website and you submit yours through your single service rep i.e Army = Upavon. The then send them to ELCAS to confirm eligibility etc and finally back to you (all second class post). I received mine the day before my course so the sooner you submit the paperwork the better.

I have got some ELC in the pipeline, my course starts on sunday and i was getting a bit twitchy about it all arriving in time! The ELCLAS helpline number is 0845 300 5179
call them to make sure that they have received the stuff from the army ELC manager (01980 618729 after 2pm) If not call army manager back up, they were very helpfull to me and got it sorted yesterday and all paperwork (claim authourisation note) is now in the post

hope this helps
