Hi
Has anyone come across G4s Events-Tactical-Support?
I worked events for G4s up to Christmas and was looking to return to event work.
Any thoughts or experience beyond the usual G4s rants.

They prefer ex police or prison service, rates of pay are about a tenner an hour. You need to be SIA ticketed, preferably CPO.

The role is proving a successful one, essentially reducing police presence by up-skilling the private "marshals" at the event.

Nice work I should think, but like most things a bit erratic.

Cheers for the info think might give it a shoot, I'm ex military, SIA DS and have event security experience

They do the same as the Normal G4s Events (Sliverstone and Wimbledon ect) But with like static surveillance, aswell as supporting the G4S security Stewards,

one of our events duty, we was working at the Cheltenham Racecourse doing anti ticket tout targeting, emphasis on persons involved in ticket tout activity at the event

Now we Support the G8 this year :)

I had an interview this morning regarding this and it sounds perfect for where I am at this point. Looking forward to getting involved.
