Hi has anyone used Wilpaln for their CP training, its a 21 day course including firearms in Geneva, cost 3,262 POUNDS all in ,sorry only have bloody $ sign on my laptop.
Awaiting replies from other companys.
Cheers Chris ...any feed back would be great

Chris,

never heard of it mate, however 21 days is a bit on the slim side especially if it includes weapons training as well. You've got to ask yourself how much of each skill set they could put across in that time frame. My guess is they will only skim the surface. It should go without saying that you would not want to step foot in any hostile environment without a good knowledge of what you are doing. Unless you already have some prior training and using this as a top up you should maybe look elsewhere.

Hope this helps.

Didn't do the CP course with Wilplan but thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend their Surveillance Course. Good guys. 21 days seems pretty usual for the CP course and if it's anything like what I did with another company there's a lot of 2 o' clock in the morning stuff. On the surveillance course we were up at 0500 the odd time and working pretty late, often. My philosophy was to cram as much in as possible. 21 days is nuffin' in the scheme of things.

havent you heard of ronin .co.za another £1000 and you would be on one of the best courses around plus a week of very good medical training, includes food and lodge and flights to and from south africa(5 week )

Chris,

Went on the cp course with wilplan last year and found it very enjoyable. It is a continuous 21 days with early starts and late finishes, sometimes working through the night with little sleep, testing how you cope with teamwork etc. Unarmed combat, surveillance, anti ambush driving, firearms are all taught to a high standard. You are assessed constantly and have to take 20 exams throughout the 3 weeks(both written and as a group) just to keep you on your toes. I was recommended to wilplan from a police officer friend involved in royal protection and have no complaints about the course.

I realise there are bucket loads of companies doing these courses but as far as i'm concerned wilplan 'did exactly what it said on the tin'.

You can PM me if you like.
