UK Protection have unique ongoing relationships with the local police service and work closely with them and other statutory authorities daily which, enables us to provide first-rate effective security solutions with our teams experience accustomed to luxury brands and venues.

We are currently recruiting for a suitable candidate to fill our role for Head of Operations in Exeter:

Responsibilities

To lead and manage the company’s vision of maximising productivity, safety and sustainability

To work within the senior management team creating sustainable relationships at all levels and lead on customer satisfaction programmes across the company

Responsible for timely and accurate development and reporting of operational and commercial information in accordance with the agreed targets

To lead UKP Operational Management Team ensuring appropriate levels of resources are deployed with succession and development plans in place

To embed a zero-non-attendance culture within the operational resourcing team

To ensure full legislative / statutory compliance across the company

To ensure effective risk management processes and systems are adhered to and to deliver enhanced levels of resilience and business continuity

To drive excellent performance levels across the company with implementation of Business

Improvement Plans to ensure continuous improvement, best practice and innovations are at the heart of our business

To ensure UKP staff are fully motivated in their work, visibly live the core values and exhibit the behaviours that enhance their work experience and the experience of the customers they serve

To work with UKP and Third Party suppliers to provide an integrated and seamless service delivery model to the Client and its stakeholders

Liaison with the Managing Director and Sales teams to ensure effective operational integration of newly awarded contracts or company acquisitions

To undertake effective cost management in-line with agreed budgets and maximise opportunities for additional revenue streams and cost savings initiatives

Experience and skills:

Substantial and proven experience in the management of large manned resources
Excellent people communication skills; ability to manage and develop positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
Understanding of developing workplace solutions aligned to individual, driven and changing working practices
Demonstrable application of best practice commercial and financial principles and P&L management
Experience of successfully managing operational teams and good HR knowledge
Understanding of business-critical environments or key soft services experience
Ability to demonstrate success of implementing best practice SIA, H&S legislation
Demonstrable knowledge of manned guarding systems with specific focus on performance and risk management
Experience in managing change projects within security environments
Relevant professional or management qualifications to degree level
Ability to demonstrate track record of identifying, implementing and managing innovation and continuous improvement
IT literate in Microsoft Management Systems
Experience in successfully working in a pressured and stressful environment
