Hi Ladies and Gents.
Hope your all well and working. If your not working then I hope its because your tired and am on holiday from working lots, if so enjoy the rest as its getting busy out there.
Anyway a plug for me and Lee.
As quite a few of you know me and Lee (Mat Mathews and Lee Ferris) we are now the resident instructors for Crown Medical in South Wales. I'm not going to bore you with our qualls or experiences however we both train up to Off Shore Med and are both experienced in UK and abroad hostile, dangerous stuff.
Hey look I am teaching the EMT/MIRA course 17th Oct and I am hoping that the class with be full, I want to get excited and get some bangs, flashes and get you working for your certificates on the final ex. Also just to let you know I cover most of your jobs so if your coming on the course let me know. If you want to spend some dedicated time on certain subjects relevant to your role feel free to let me know and I will accommodate you. As I say your paying me so get your moneys worth out of me. The answer to the question "no you are not putting a cannula in me tho".
To all the guys that I trained up will know my passion about med stuff and I am sure you will come away with some of my drive for med stuff. One for you (no names) but had the South Wales Police med trainer doing a refresher course and is now looking to change his training to accommodate his students as his words were "I never thought of that". Well done me lol. Total head growth for me that, couldn't get my fat head into the canteen after that one. Also to James, well done mate, see you said on the course you couldn't get into the system and you did it on the day mate, saved a life. Nice on and a photo in your local paper too, result. Well done.
One question I will ask you all to look into and that is to look into your company or who you work with is this What is their company Clinical Directives? What will they allow you to do as a medic regardless of what your certified to do. Its a massive one that is overlooked and if it goes wrong medically its down to you.
On one note, I have listened to feedback from the previous courses and MORE HANDS ON is required. No problems, we shortened the PPT and will get more kit out. My bad for being lazy but you said it and I will improve my courses. No problem. There will be a feed letter soon from Crown to keep you informed and updated on med stuff and other bits of stuff you may want to know. You can get hold of me if you want if I can help you with anything. I am 48yrs old and got a bit of grey hair however, with my ugly mug have been around the block a few times. Hope I can help.
So guys see you out there, work hard and play nice.
Regards
Mat
