Been doing a bit of research into whether NEBOSH is worth doing and came across this.....thought it might interest someone..

Site Safety Advisor /HSE Engineer

Contract Location: Middlesborough
Duration: 6 months +

A Site Safety Engineer is required to join a large contract team onsite a new build waste to energy plant to take responsibility for a large part of the safety policies and corrective actions , including being able to inspect and react daily to safety issues, including hands on first aid.

Safety Supervisors will need some experience with the following:

*Safety inspections /audits
*Emergency plan experience, including conducting and documenting drills
*Site safety documentation updates , including contractor and subcontractor safety training
*Involvement in the development of long term safety plans
*Document and report on all incidents, accidents and near misses
*Some experience with : Safety in Construction to include -Excavation, crane , rigging, scaffolding etc.

In addition to the above, 2 years relevant experience within safety and a recognisable Safety qualification is required.
The successful candidate will also possess an ability to handle emergency situations and be able to administer first aid. (CPR and AED)
