Iba course romania

Hi,

Our next course will start on the 12th of March 2010.

Torcuss

Excellent thanks for the feedback, and I like your website very much. It's concise.
BTW, your models in the photo look even chunkier than me:D I might be able to handle this one.

HI,

What photos are you talking about? Photos can be decieving LOL, it doesnt really matter how you look like its how you present yourself that counts, the client will rather take a chubby guy that knows what he is doing than a muscle man who runs like a girl when the bullets are flying in your/his/her direction.

Torcuss

One thing that us chubbies have never been accused of is running. Not even like girls. Fighting back is always the easiest option.
But yup, thanks for the response re dates. I see you have a European rep based in the UK. So I might be in touch with him.

Cezzz if you want to have a chat, I have a CP team in Bucharest and if you PM i could point you in the right direction as of course some of the team have done and may help.

Cezzz,

You will find that there is not course that is recognised in every country, unless you are looking at maritime security SSO etc. I would suggest looking at the area that you wish to work and take it from there, look through the posts that are already on the forum over the past year and it will guide you in your quest.

I also suggest speaking with companys like Toruss etc and seeing what they have to say and if there course suits your requirments. Training is not cheap by any mean's but good tuition comes in small numbers and attenstion to detail.

I hope all goes well for yourself.

there`s only a few of good internationally recognized training providers..you can count them by the fingers of one palm so to speak...

Gorillano I tried to PM you but you have that option turned off

anyways if you could throw some of those names my way I'd appreciate it

There`s no need really... I could post them here in the forum but i will be accused of advertising..

Search function in the forum is your friend...(And the friendly mouth to mouth advertising:))

PS:
Actually i do not have the PM option turned off ..I do receive Pm on a daily basis...

maybe the error is on my end but this is what I get

" Gorillanobaka1977 has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her."

as for searching this forum it's quite the colossal task so if you could somehow drop me a pm or give me a few hints I'd be happy

Hello again. Becouse of the financial crizes it was very hard for me to take a loan that can funds a trip to SA to train so i decide to take it slow until i have funds for this. So i joined a course of security guard that is recognised in my country and possible in the UE and i wait for police fire arms department to approve my glosary for non-lethal fire arms permit(maximum a civilian can get), after they aproved i will get an passport of UE fire arm permit that i hope will help to get weapons in other countrys where i will work... Anyway is better than nothing:) P.S iba called me 3 times to join there courses, i tell them maybe in the future:)

Hi Billy 1000

I would love to know all these people that have been on one of the IBA courses in the UK, as to why they say give it a miss, I am not unawere of what is being said on all the forums, I think we all get a bit subjective here and need to be a bit more objective.

If any one wants to give me feedback on a bad learning exsperiance with the IBA in the UK I will be very happy to talk with them on the fourm in full view of all concerned.
Regards
Duncan.

First Im happy to see you here, and secondly Im sorry youre still with iba.
With all respect you of anyone should know the consirns about iba it self thesedays.
There have been stated times and times again there is alot of good instructors and operatives within the iba, but nobody whants to be associated with an association linked to jim shortt after his real background came to light.
I am happy I left in 2007 before even all this started due to other issues with HQ, and until the IBA remove the director general any links to that association will continue to be infected. However I have many times here and on other forums stated there are top instructors and operatives within iba, but a lie just like riding a wave sooner or later it comes to an end

All the best,
HÃ¥kan (Hawk)

Hello Hawk

I can acutely talk about things a bit more openly as I am no longer the UK National Director,

as you say I have been in the IBA long enough to know all its bad points, I have all so been a member long enough to know all its good points.

What I do know is not to tar every one with the same brush and not to be subjective unless you have good reason, it is not very professional, if all these people that have been on a UK course and had a bad learning experience I would like to hear about them.

You know as well as I do that we have guys that have been in the industry for 5 years and think they are experts at every thing.

Look at the students reflective learning logs, look at the Internal verifier reports, look at the external verifier reports.
That is what it is about not jumping on the band wagon.

Right I will get off me soap box, and wait for the incoming.
Stay safe mate.
Duncan.

Yes I do understand and I know youre a professional with strong experience and any forum would see your skills as an asset.
I dont think its the training it self since I had several guys (both foreign/Swedish) contacting me saying they was on courses in UK with SIA approved training providers (non iba) and all told me the courses I ran back in 2005-2006 was more informative, better runned and with greater interest to deliver the subjects then they saw now I refer to time period 2007-2009
I think its just the link to DG, and I doubt there be anyone saying they had poor training since then they be telling lies themselfs

Hope you get some response, if they dare to speak about it
Regards,
Hawk

Hi Duncan, good to see you here. I'd just like to second what Hawk has stated. I don't wish to hide that I have little respect for Shortt. But, as I also have stated in the past, 99% of the IBA guys are gooduns. You are probably aware of the ongoing disassembling process of Jim on ARRSE. (They aren't finished yet by a long way)
What does need sorting is the distinction between the variouse IBA's, those that short is still associated with and those to which he is not. Eg; you are now IBA ('associates')
then we have IBA Slovenia ltd, yet the mere suggestion of Shortt being associated, does not help in the credibility stakes.
Any one still remotely connected with Jim is well advised to cut loose ASAP as there is a major sh!t storm on the horizon that is not displayed on thread. One peach of information has just appeared on that site that implies he could have committed war crimes in Afghanistan, another release recently alleges that documents were fabricated to gain favour in military circles.

Duncan,

Welcome & thanks for stepping forward to answer some unanswered questions. I'll start off by asking: Would you be prepared to join Arrse and answer some questions being asked on there, as your name & details have been mentioned quite a lot on there due to your business relationship/association with Jim Shortt.

In the meantime, a couple of questions I'll ask you on here would be:

(1) Why is it, despite Jimbo being publically exposed as a Para/SAS walter mitty and the discovery he has a extremely long history of fraud throughout his working career, why is it people such as yourself continue to have a business relationship with him?

(2) And, what was the reason for the IBA company name change that your Managing Director of ?

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi

As I said happy to talk, I believe in transparence, that’s why I always put my real name on Forum sites, should I know who you are SKYNET? as I can’t recall anyone called SKYNET.
If you want to send me a mail letting me know who you are, if I can help I will.
Regards
