Joining as a Commonwealth citizen

Hello, I want to join the British armed forces, I'm draw to the RAF, I was reading you can join as a Commonwealth citizen, I have dual citizenship (Trinidadian and Spanish). I wondered if there is a chance that the army would skip the residency requirements since I'm not currently residing in the UK, and they ask for 5 years.

I'm 23.
