Anyone thinking of doing a CP course …
I’ve just completed the Longmoor CP plus Special Firearms course – money well spent!
I spent quite a long time considering several training providers and I certainly think I made the right choice.

They are not just a course provider, they are committed to sharing their huge knowledge and experience in the field with a view to making you the best CPO they can. After finishing you will have the training and confidence to enter the world of CP.

As for the firearms training – amazing!
I’ve done firearms training in the past but nothing compares to this … their commitment to making you the best they can is astounding.

This is the best there is!

Have been reasearching many companies for cp training prior to spending my well earned cash ans think longmoor will be the way forward, unless anyone has any conflicting info.

Hi all

Longmoor Group has been 'taken over', for want of a better word, by Westminster. There are loads of threads on the site, many of which are very funny if you, like me, have nothing better to do than read them tonight. I am sure I read that it was their (longmoor) 'intention' to continue with the training, which sounds rather vague and in reality this could now be outside of their control given the take over.

Personally, I would not pay any money until such time as the 'intention' becomes reality. But it is your money not mine :)

Regards

I just recently got text from Chris who was in Slovenia where they are doing their firearms courses so it seems like they carry on, I myself did Longmoor's CP course with Firearms training last Aug/Sept and it was very good.

The best there is? have you trained with a number of other course providers? if not are you able to judge? there is a large number of exellent providers a lot on here choose your course very carefully,i know a few mates who have completed Longmoors course they are looking for work the same as many other folks,if any one would like some details on real good courses pm me regards and stay safe Ram out.

Yes I meant Longmoor Group.
Yes they're carrying on with the training. From what I understand Westminster Group have taken them over but with a view to extending Westminster's scope in the industry. As far as I'm aware Westminster don't offer their own CP training.
Yes there's a lot of other good providers out there, I'm sure ... "Best there is" ... it was figure of speech.
All I'm saying is .. I spent a lot of time looking at websites like this when I was considering which course to book. I can say 100% that, for me, I chose the right one. I doubt I could've received better training anywhere else ... different training - yes, better training - I doubt it.

Brother ive trained extensively all over the world ime out with US training this year also so i will be able to give feedback on them also as they are meant to be very good also known as XE Edelweiss Tactical will offer some of the best weapons training available, also Morrigans, Trojan in the USA and Ronin Concepts uk are some of the market leaders there is a lot of choice ime working alongside some very good oppos here in the Sand and some have already booked courses to refresh there skill sets with Edelweiss Tactical, this is just my 5 cents ive trained with them and so have a lot of my oppos here in the sand but who ever he chooses good luck Ram.

A very valid point Ram...
It is difficult to judge one provider against another...
There are indeed many good training companies on this site...

Absolutely Hippy. It does beg the question though if 'Westminster' will review Longmoor Gp's training policy of teaching the BG to carry a med bag around the streets :D

I sincerely hope they don't get hit with a Awarding Body External Evaluation which may put the guys at risk of having their licences revoked (Not a nice avenue to go down)

Maybe Longmoor / Westminster could make some form of straight not flowery statement regarding their future business intentions in particular as to the training courses (bit of a re launch which would do them good)

What licence are you talking about John? the SIA, i dont have one and dont need one as we dont work for UK companys, and also my friends arnt from the UK regards and stay safe Ram out.

Ram, where did that come from ? The discussion was about a UK Training Provider ! I was mearly expressing a concern over the fact that a training provider had folded and hoped that the guys that had previously been trained by them to get or not get an SIA licence were in a safe situation.

Last year several companies got caught up in some admin errors with their awarding body where the guys were under serious fear of losing their licences and ultimate livelihood.

Having a visit from an External Evaluator based on adverse intelligence regarding courses being run can be your worst nightmare for all concern.

Been there, survived it and got the T shirt !
