Hello All
I have been stringently researching my options for resettlement as I leave this year and enter the private sector.

Firstly my aim, I am looking to leave the army after serving 12 years, commissioned service. My desire is to move into the Private security Industry as a career not just a short term make a quick buck. I believe that if I wish to develop into managerial and consultancy roles I should first get credible experience on the ground. I am very keen to develop my experience and therefore my reputation in the Hostile environment arena.

My plan to transition is to complete the following courses in order to, I hope, give me the best chances of success.

I would greatly appreciate any advice on the choices of courses and any advice on the companies I should aim to gain this valuable experience with.

Plan is as follows:
CP course with SOS Ltd in Slovakia
Advanced surveillance course with ISS Training Ltd
SMCC Cse with Control Risks.
Krav Maga Instructor Cse with BKMA
Hopefully I will then be able to also complete the CR HECPO cse.

Many Thanks in advance for your advice and guidance

I'm not an expert as I'm more or less in the same position but if your looking at the security industry long term it might be worth looking at management type courses rather than the Krav Maga and ISS courses. Leicester Uni/ Bucks are good places to start, something like the MSc in Security and Risk Management. It's distance learning so you can gain CP experience on the ground at the same time. Also worth a look at something like the CSC course with Anubis.

Good luck
