After looking on the forum i have already found some answers...but not all
As we all know by now, not everyone has got the money to study fulltime at the university.
Well i am one of those poor lads...but i really want to become a paramedic.
My main interest is not for CP jobs so this might not be the right place to ask.
But i do know there are lots of paramedics and such from all over the world on this forum whom could share some info.
I just really love medical stuff and want to make a career in this world.
( CP jobs/remote medic jobs would be welcome now and then )
Now to make you understand my question , first
Me and my gf have been talking for some years now to move to another country to settle over there.
Some countries that come to mind are New Zealand, Australia, Canada...
Offcourse i would love to work over there as a paramedic (or start lower and work up )
Now i have seen that MERIT training company offers the industry paramedic course,
They state that completing this course gives me the option to appy for the
diploma of paramedic science in Australia.= offshore/industry work
The next step would then be => diploma of advanced paramedic science = work as a paramedic in Australia
the advanced paramedic diploma is based on recognition of prior learning
Diploma website : The Advanced Diploma of Paramedical Science qualification may provide you with advanced standing into Bachelor degrees at Australian Universities
Now for the experts or Aussies over here ,
What will the advanced diploma of paramedic science be worth compared to the paramedic bachelor ?
Meaning in terms of work placement , medical actions allowed to perform etc....
Is the Title of diploma paramedic officially recognised or are you basically an EMT over there ?
I'm just thinking this gives me a foot in the door to make it easier to immigrate and then eventually work/study my way up.
Don't know if its true...
+ What are your thoughts about the online theory courses and maybe some alternatives/recommendations ?
At the moment i am going through EMT training in my country ,
i have done the fpos + mira , basically because you need them for jobs abroad.
but as stated , main interest is a career in medicine and not for the money,
but because i really want to make a career in it.
