Criteria
This course is for Officers at Division who are selected to carry out relatively simple
observation duties.

Aim
To provide potential Level Three Surveillance Operatives (Observation Post or
Observation Team personnel) with the specialist skills commensurate to their role,
namely, dealing with relatively simple surveillance operations. Also make them
capable of giving support to more complex surveillance operations and Level One
and Level Two teams, by carrying out intelligence gathering, covert reconnaissance
and operational development tasks.

Content
The Level 3 Surveillance course provides selected candidates with the knowledge to
and skills to perform covert surveillance duties, surveillance logs, urban hides,
RIPA and observations from a static observation point.
This course does not cater for foot or mobile surveillance surveillance
