Professional Indemity Insurance for Medics

I've recently gone self employed as a remote medic, can anyone give me advice for PI insurance, all the companies I have looked into seem to cover NHS only or the usual career groups in the private hospitals.

Are there any companies that cater for the unusual role of the remote medic, and what sort of costs would I be looking at.

or through the BAA, The British Ambulance Association

Failing that, contact the BAA and they'll advise. Be aware though, that DW at the BAA does rabbit on a bit, so you may lose the will to live before you get a definitive answer. Good luck though.

You could try the Medical Protection Society or the Medical Defence Union, Kerry London maybe a better bet.
