notwithstanding a few minor errors - such as the number of attackers being somewhere between 30 and 40, and a gorgeous woman sitting nearby - this story is apparently still TRUE. i would really have liked to have seen it. you just cant hold down a "good man armed with a kukri".

My mother worked with gurkas during the Malaysia crisis a long time ago. She has never felt so proud to have been working with such a group of men, in fact that was the only instance in her life she wanted to be a male due to the way the system worked in regards to professional relationships. The stories she has are beyond belief and sadly will be lost with their generation, hell the one about the Chinese madam and her toy boy in Vietnam started with 'what happens when you get tired?, 'I'll replace him with a younger version once I've taught him enough to get by'
