It is with great sadness that i must inform you all, at 05:00 hrs this morning, John Tombs passed away after a battle with illness only he could of put up. Strong to the end and relentless in his fight, he leaves a legacy that will never be equaled. So many of us owe him in aspects that are unfitting of a chat forum!! A true legend and man of steel, that will be missed by so many. The original PBA, before things went pink and fluff, and the hard earned lessons in the dungeon! (You all know what i mean) For those of us privileged enough to have know or trained under his colors, we will always walk tall in your memory. Words cannot do you justice, but our memories always will.

A true Hero and Legend to so many, Rest in Peace.

For those wishing to send Mrs Tombs condolences. Here are the following details: rosannetombs@icloud.com
Those wishing to pay due respects, funeral dates and timings will be posted asap.

RIP Tombsy

RIP.

I did the course with him back in 2005.

RIP

RIP to John, nice guy, condolences to his family.
I did his course in 1998, and still use some of the things we learnt today.

Just seen this thread and sorry to hear that John has passed away.

I didn't know John well by any means, but I did the PBA course back in 1991 and some of the lessons learned are still front and centre & still have the Vol I & II manuals to hand. Certainly wasn't pink and fluffy!
