Risk Insurance for foreign employees

Could someone help me with this question please.

Is it possible for German contractors to use an English Insurance company for High Risk Insurance coverage, although they work over seas and still have a German home address?
In Germany we dont have Insurance companies like Whittaker & Co, who can cover us.

My reply might not be very usefull, however : do the german soldiers have a specific military insurance they can keep after their time in the military ? That's what the french guys do, it's ridiculously cheap and the cover is good.

Provided the insurance company are authorised to write business in the country of residence i.e Germany and the the broker is also authorised to offer the insurance product in this country, then the answer is yes.
