Hello to all,

I am looking at starting this course and would be interested in anyone who has completed it and hearing their opinions

Security Management Advanced - Advanced Security Management Online Training Courses

The certificates are issued by the Stonebridge college and are the equivalent of a diploma which I am presuming is reasonably good and i suppose always better than nothing.

I have looked at the CRG level 4 security management course and there is a BIG difference in price any opinions would be appreciated.

Regards to all

Hi Mac. It will be interesting to hear the opinions, as I am looking to do a management course as my next step.

Good luck,

All the best

Ok I have successfully completed the course and enjoyed it although a bit of a brain strain at times I believe it was worth the effort there was good support given throughout and fast responses to all questions and assignments, however now I ma stuck on what to do next BTEC level 5 or international level 6 ISMI? i do work a lot overseas but the level 6 is not a recognized diploma?or is it ?
would it be on this table?

Well I think that it would be a good decision for you to have in and it will must provide you the best deals to have in. To be an expert through the all basics learning and all it would really give you the plenty of advantages to make a perfect security system in any indoor/outdoor building.

Have you checked out Bucks New Uni's security courses? I think their courses allow you to progress to gain an MSc or BSc in the long term (if that's what you want). They have several foundation degrees available.

I am anxious to know that how it would be more helpful for you and you will be get the nice influences with. I would like to know all the benefits as we can avail through thus security management course. Although I know the advantages of it but I want to know yours point of view.

Hi Necky,

I have started the BTEC level 5 with perpetuity institute, this gives you a recognised diploma and affiliation to the security institute, which is starting to be recognised internationally as a quality reference and is requested increasingly in job announces specific to security related posts. There is no right or wrong course as such it all depends on your aims and goals and the type of security industry you wish to follow and your current circumstances, the level 6 is very interesting but its rigidity with concerns to course dates and handing in assignments was not suitable to my working overseas and as such not always having a reliable source of internet it also does not necessarily count towards a degree the course i have decided on counts towards up to a third with some of the affiliated universities should you then decide to go further with your education so for a degree you will only have 2 instead of 3 years to do for example, however the cost of the level 6 are significantly lower.

I hope this helps,

Good luck

Good morning,

also looking to start the advanced diploma, after the completing the initial security management diploma. How did you find the course?

Goof afternoon Mac, how did you find the course as I am also looking to complete the course, would you be available t chat ?

CRG is a industry recognized and reputable course ( I have no connection) and Stonebridge is a money maker which is not taken seriously. However saying that, I do know a guy who actually got a decent job off the back of completing about 5 of their courses, all of them less than a year duration, but he did have the gift of the gab to go along with it and convinced the employer they were indeed equivalent of a diploma. If you are looking to get some sort of recognized accreditation in security management, I hate to say it but ASIS CCP is one of the ones that multinationals prefer for credibility; thereafter an Msc in Management. I have no affiliations with these but what I see in this industry (not the PSD type roles), and those wanting to break into the broader security management, the above qualifications holds more weight. Spend, or I should say invest wisely.
