Google the Keto diet mate, based mainly on eating high carbs, medium good fats and cutting out carbs, designed to lose weight and retain muscle, your body burns fat instead of carbs for fuel.

The best way is the safest way, although not always the quickest - so that you dont loose too much too quick, that you put it all back on again. You also have to consider injury recovery management whilst doing this.
You can safely use a high protein and low carb diet, When correctly incorporating cardio and exercise this is going to aid recovery. You do not want to risk making the injury you have/are recovering from to worsen. whilst you exercise doing cardio, you also want to build up muscles and surrounding muscle groups with strengthening exercises, which will help support and strengthen the knee joint.
No good going into it like a bull in a china shop, as you will just cause more injury to the knee.
If you need the exercises to incorporate with the diet let me know.

Google Doctor Simeons HCG diet. I've been doing it 31 days now and lost 28lbs. Reading the document it might sound extreme but it works and I've given the same advice to half a dozen other people whom it has worked for. you can do no training first 2 weeks. Dr Simeons advises no exercise at all but I train 2 hours 3-4 times a week with a 40lb weight vest with no adverse side effects. My cholestrol dropped from 5 to 2.4 which is outstanding.Read the document and judge for yourself. Hope I'm not going to get slagged of, just stating this diet works for me and the other people who have tried it.

I've just lost a stone and a half in 6 weeks.

Not my choice though. I've just finished a job in Iraq where the food was truely inedible and D&V were/are endemic.

So the number 1 diet is 6 weeks in the pit. Good luck.

Get someone to send you a few litres of Angolian water, a friend of mine lost heaps of weight after drinking it.

calories

counting calories and making sure you are under your daily suggested intake is the most effective way. A diet is something you start and stop whereas educating yourself on calorie intakes is something you can stick to for life. Try google daily calorie requirements and you can generally find books that list calorie amounts in food..

Hope that helps, worked for me.

There's no quick fix and crash dieting doesn't work as you only end up putting the weight back on. You can try Fighting Fit by Adrian Weale - worked for me. It's an old book probably find it on Amazon.

"The Lemonade Diet" Google it.......

I've just checked this out, sounds pretty dam hard core.....

But despite that, I'm gonna try it from 25th fed till 12th march. 3 days ease in, 3 days ease out, 10 day lemonade.

Well thats what i hope anyway.

Still scared and unsure - its the SWF part which scares me, 'spose it has to be done...

If I man up enough i'll do it, and probably start writting a blog on here while im doing it.

Anyone in SE-London want to try and do it with me..!?
