Transporter 3/Movie
I recently did an interview with the people of Transporter 3. The Director (for the DVD) came up a few weeks ago from L.A. to see me. Took them out the the gun range, did some shooting, etc..., The cameraman and the Director had some experience with firearms. As some of you know, that's a bonus when doing interviews because they can better anticipate what's going to happen next.

They interviewed several "security" people about the transporting business. This will be included in the bonus section of the DVD. I understand it should hit the stores sometime in March/2009.

Best regards,

Sunil Ram

Stupid question.......awaiting a stupid answer.......I've seen Transporter 1 & 2 and I'm still confused...........

What is a transporter? What is the taransporting business? It looked like vigilante and criminal work to me!

I use to work for an insurance company, every courier under the sun used to call themselves "Transporters"!

Or can we just call it CVIT?

If there really is a such a job as a transporter or even a business in transporting, anyone care to share!?

Cheers

That was one of the questions asked during the interview. You'll have to wait for the DVD to come out. Okay, just kidding. My answer was: "He is a Jack of all Trades." For those of you in the "security/personal protection" business, you understand what I mean.

I also mentioned during the interview that the Movie is very different from "Real Life." Did I need to say that? **You have no idea how many people watch the movie and think that's the kind of life we lead** If it was, our insurance rates would be through the roof. They are bad enough already. Oh yeah, I'd also be spending a lot of time behind bars.

Also: He doesn't want to know or care to know what he is delivering. We do. Why? Aside from legal issues, so we can do a proper threat assessment: Who want's the package? Have they tried to take it before? If so, how? Basic stuff, but in the movie, he doesn't care because he'll just shoot them.

Just to give you a idea of what it is that WE really do in the Secure Transport business:

* High Value Security Escort * Transportation/Courier Service
* Airport Picks Up's/Drop Off's * VIP's/ Dignitaries/Children
* Cash/Stocks/Bonds/Documents * Jewelry/Fine Art/Antiques/Precious Stones

I hadn't watched the Transporter Movies until we were asked to participate for the T3 DVD. They interviewed several people and as you will see, my understanding is that some folks wanted their faces covered, voices changed, etc..., Me, no. We run a legitimate/licensed security agency and as some of you know, we do a lot of this "Media" stuff.

I hope this answers your question. Again remember, if you speak with 10 different people in the business, you'll probably get 10 different answers. This is based on MY experience, the kind of gigs I have done for the past 20 years.

Cheers,

Sunil Ram
