hi im new to forum and looking for advice :)

i have the h.264 network dvr
i have set up remote viewing both online and via iphone on eagle eyes...so far so good, however having problems with emails.

i have entered my email address on the settings on the dvr to enable email notifications when the sensor on camera is triggered. All seemed ok at first , and the emails are coming through via my gmail email account on my iphone.

however on the email it says
if you see this then your email client is not mime / mhtml compliant

there is an attachment with html extension, i cannot view the attachment at all, so although i get notification of a trigger i cannot view what the trigger was and its really frustrating and also seems useless to have if cannot view:confused::confused:

hope someone can help me , i would really appreciate it!
heres hoping! :):)

It sounds like your DVR is sending out emails which aren't syntactically correct for some reason.

The other option is your iPhone isn't confirming to the standards...which I would be very surprised - my iPhone never has had this issue with any emails at all.

If it is the DVR, there isn't a lot you can do about it! If it is the iPhone, there isn't a lot you can do either! :)

do you know what make dvr you have ?

Hi
Thank you for reply here is info
avtech h 264 dvr

thanks:)

you may find that it will only send pictures. check your settings.
Using Video Server E (your locations will be different for VideoViewer) set your system settings/alarm (trigger for VV). Set Alarm trigger enabled, alarm method as email/FTP, and the number of pics and the alarm duration.

If you would like to forward an e-mail to me, I wouldn't mind having a look at the internal structure of that e-mail and seeing if I can shed any light on it from there. If you would like to go down this route, just drop me a PM and I'll give you my e-mail address.

what network is your iphone on ???

The network will have NO issue at all on this - there is no need to go through this extra hassle.

not the case mhtml can be blocked by not knowing what range the ip is on gmail. so going from gmail to a orange phone it will see alerts but no pictures. so orange email to orange phone same range ip so will display pictures in mhtml (trusted documents) pop 3 account

I'm sorry, but your post doesn't make sense at all to me. Would you be kind enough to please rephrase it for a layman such as myself.

then you might be best adding a wanadoo email address to your dvr and to your iphone. this will give you what is called a trusted site (wanadoo is orange) you can have both runing on your dvr.

also here is a link for remote playback for your iphone its free just log in.
