Hello guys, I wanted to know your opinion, what would you choose better, do a CViT or CCTV training, now I have a DS licence and I am working as a security guard during the week and as a bouncer on the weekends. I have saved up some money and would like to spend it wisely.

The thing why I am asking you this, is I am planing to start studies in Uni this year and was thinking maybe do such a course/-es to get a part time job during the time that I am studying.

Maybe I should do them both?
I have a 7.5ton driving licence, maybe that is an advantage?

Take it from a fellow student, who has taken 5 to many courses and 20 too many jobs while been at uni....just keep what you're doing.

You need the money at uni - no two ways about that.
work as a SG and DS while at uni is already enough to pay for beer and stuff

just stay with the DS/SG, study, have a laugh, get a few beers in. Save the money ..!

at most id suggest to join a security firm

I'm biased, but if you've got the 'technical interest' to get get the background in EXACTLY how various types of camera work, and theoretical applications, go the CCTV route, hasn't done me any harm ! :)

If it's a tossup between sitting at a consol, staring bleary eyed at monitors, or being on the streets, thinking, driving, reacting to situations....I'll drive, hasn't done me any harm either ! :)

My heart bleeds for poor students and funding cuts...

To be fair that was not so much aimed at you, knowing you are not quite a student of that variety and have been about a bit... It just reminded me of the recent protests and the unchanged attitudes todays students have. Its still about the beer and partying, with a little studying too when sober or not hungover enough!
