  • Yes it will increase your chances. But re-enlisting just to get more experience, in order to get into the private security is wrong. You will re-enlist for 2-3 years then be in the same spot you are now, just older and probably US will pull out of afghanistan by then.
Sorry correction: wps3 or wpps 3 diplomatic security course, 12 weeks basic training + specialized training, 6 months total training, provided only by the department of state. However there are wps2 static/mobile security course approved providers with active task orders: US training center, dyncorp, triple canopy. wps1 only static security course providers: eodt, soc.
Hey bud, I'm sorry I'm so late, I rarely log in. I will help you any way i can. you don't need to go to any executive protection schools to get a job. I never saw this as a requirement when I applied to big companies. The only recognized executive protection school in the US is, World Protection Services or WPS, taught by the department of defense. its a 12 weeks course. Other than that, with your military background if it's more than 3 years, you will get entry level jobs easy. mid level and top Overseas close protection services jobs require 5+ years experience and 18 series mos, seals, lerp, pj's etc. you get the point. Sad news is that there are a lot of special forces getting out of the service and getting in the private sector, so competition is tough. Shotgun your resume to every company you can find and be patient.
