I think you're right that use in trauma is off-label at present in the UK. It's a shame that you'll have to wait so long in the US - many other drugs in both UK/Europe and the USA have been given approval on much more flimsy data, or even removed a few years later as the risks become evident...

Completely agree, Phecta, you've always got to assume that any airway can be dislodged or displaced at any moment, especially with movement. I always tie them, as I always tie a tube - it won't prevent all dislodegements, but it does help, especially if the teeth are missing.
