Good Even.
Just a quick review of my recent ILS course undertaking.
Training was provided by 3Five2 training in Belfast.

£130 for the course included pre reading handbook and lunch for the day.

Course was provided by a current practitioner with over 30yrs exp.

Very informative course touching on all relevant course material and going beyond requirement.

Just posted a quick review as it might be helpful to others who were looking to touch up on skills.

Thanks

Murf

Peecee, it's a Resuscitation Council course which has been running for 8-10 years and is aimed at people who would not do a full ALS course (aimed at team leaders). It's aimed at recognition of the peri-arrest patient, CPR with airway support (including LMA) and defibrillation i.e. management of a cardiac arrest for the first five minutes until a team get there. The RC(UK) link is ILS Course General Information

I think it's a very good course (I've taught on one or two in the past), and as it goes beyond the technical aspects of "this is an arrest, this is how to use the defib/do CPR", it is much more real-life i.e. an ill patient who then goes downhill. Well done, Murf, for taking the initiative.

Cheers for the steer Murph, i have just completed an AREMT-B course in the UK and hoping to jump on the Feb ILS course with 3five2, does anyone know of an ALS provider in NI??

3Five2 Delivered an outstanding ILS Course, facilities are spot on and set up like a ward, excellent well maintained equipment and a hoofin buffet lunch - with a load of nurses too just seem to make the day go even better :-)

Whats the advantage if any of the RCUK ILS (I understand RCUK ALS is normally for NHS bods only) over the American ACLS course (apart from the each one being recognised in each respective country) in the HECPO world?.
