Advice on Maritime security

Hi trublue,

Thanks for your reply I have been invited for a chat by port2port as I have said I am not yet qualified yet so it depends on this chat really it should give a feeling if it is for me or not? I have been told that often the team on board is foreign nationals and a Brit as a TL is often the case? What sort of time were you away on your transits?

Port to port are a good company and have only started taking onboard ex Army personnel as ex Bootnecks.

The company I am with at present like you to go away for 8 weeks at a time, another company I worked for you were lucky to get a transit but then they would fly you home.

You will need to do the MSO course which is City and Guilds accredited, you will spend a heap of money on courses trying to get into the industry, if you have your ELC you could use them to utilise paying for the course etc.
