don't know why Al Shebab believed that the US commandos were other nationalities.
but it is possible the US SEALS used different insignia to confuse the enemy.
the US has confirmed that the attack on the Somali coast did not achieve its objective. the American account is now fairly close to the al Shebab account. both agree that the US Navy SEALS encountered heavy resistance and retreated after their initial attack. it is not clear how many al Shebab were killed, but I am skeptical of the terrorists' claims that they lost just one person. One troubling comment came from the terrorists, who said there was a lot of blood in the ocean after the incident. So we hope that all the SEALS are OK after that mission.
