Aspida Maritime

Copy/paste from a French mate

Currently Aspida is in the last stage of gaining the French flag for a big project with large fissing vessels around Seychelles and Mauritius.

For this reason all French operatives that want to work with us, and according to French government regulation they must undergo a specific training and issue a card professionale.*

This training you must undergo to KSI facilities in France, Brest.

The training will be held on the 28 & 29 June 2015 and the cost for the operative is 900€ (Aspida does not cover the cost of the training). With this training you will be able to deploy on French Flag vessels...

After this time period the training will have a bigger duration and a much higher cost.

For this reason we are recruiting from now French operatives to be deployed at the French Flag vessels that we will operate.

For the training please contact Mr. Dominique at KSI through the below email to register from Aspida:

They will probably request a small deposit for the training.

Contact them the soonest possible because the positions in the training are limited and put me cc in the communication in order to move things forward.

Looking forward to cooperate with you.

In terms of documents for this particular training in KSI we will need:*
- to justify that you already spent at least 30 days at sea (during the last two years) working as agent/guard for a company providing armed services;

- to be the holder of an updated BST certificate requested under the STCW convention;

- to be the holder of the SSO “Ship Security Officer” certificate or the DSD* “Designated Security Duties” certificate requested under the STCW convention;

- to send us a valid copy of your passport;

- to send us an updated criminal record established less than 3 months before the training;

-to send us your national ID.

I will wait for your prompt response in order to move things forward on that matter.

Soooo, you pay 900 Euros just to get a license, then you pay something that is mentioned " Much more for training ", much more than 900 Euros goes in my book well over 1500 Euros?
At this point you are still as far a way from a job than when you started to deal with them.

By all this, I would stay waaaay clear of the company.
Then that's just me.

Brest, October 28th, 2015,

The enactment of Law No. 2014-742 of 1st July 2014 and the signing of decrees related during late 2014 and early 2015 resulted in June 2015 to approve the first private companies wishing to conduct activities of protection of French flagged vessels (APPN).

Active since 2011 in the training of PCASP and involved from the earliest discussions (2013) on the French bill, the holding GROUPE PRORISK started its first missions for French flagged vessels. PCASPs of its subsidiary PRORISK INTERNATIONAL ensured in September the protection of a tanker in the Gulf of Aden and three teams are being deployed on tuna-seiners in the Indian Ocean.

In order to anticipate demands of ship-owners and answer them in the best conditions, GROUPE PRORISK increased its staff for the management and the daily monitoring of its missions, consolidated its network for smooth movement of its staff and positioned additional equipment in the "High Risk Area" to optimize its reactivity.

In order to ensure the quality of PCASPs and its sustainability, GROUPE PRORISK is based on two separate pillars: training provided by its subsidiary KARGUS SEA INTERCONNECTION compliant with French legislation in force and the selection of its teams for recruitment within PRORISK INTERNATIONAL.

Through these actions, the French group is in the best frame to continue to offer real job opportunities for French opretaors of the sector and serious retraining opportunities.
