Hi everyone. I wonder if anybody can help me. I applied for the BAA security officer job on the 3rd of January this year (2013). i passed the screened x test. They then told me to wait 2 weeks to let me know whether I have reached the interview/assessment day. But they still have not told me and it is nearly mid february. I have contacted them by email and telephone and they tell me to keep on waiting. I dont know what is happening or why they are taking so long or what they are doing. any suggestions anyone? anyone have any clues so that i can understand what is happening and have an idea of when they might let me know? cheers.

Hi,

It will take some time for them to come back to you so research about the company & interview.

British Airport Authority Security ...........

Double check as I heard its sold and called Heathrow Security now.

It could be any number of reasons to be honest it might be that they have a lot of applications to vet and look at so as to decide who to invite to interview. Or it could be that worse case you may have not of made interview and they are just taking time letting you know. The only ones who really know the answer are baa and they have said wait so unfortunatly that's all you can do.

Adapt and overcome

It could be because they are checking references and maybe doing a CRB check prior to going into CTC. To be fair, with the job market like it is, theres a good chance they've been inundated by applicants. Which airport is it? If its Stansted, they may be re-evaluating how many people they can take on before Manchester Airport Group fully take over. BAA/Heathrow Airport Holdings have their HR department in Paisley and they're short staffed anyway!

There could be a number of reasons, to be honest, it could be that they have a variety of applications in training and looking to decide who to invite for an interview.
